Last three days ago i have been continuously sharing my thoughts and i was supposed to feature my driving permit application, Unfortunately, i over slept and forgot to asked moola from my mom. i don’t even know if it was coincidence but i was also not in good shape, and that day it was raining that agrees in my condition not go out. It seems my interest doesn’t get along with the activities i have lined up. but regardless of this depression, i am keeping a heads up in better things to come. it is odd while doing this “daily” which i gave a different definition by doing the post when i felt i want to share what i just feel. like what is happening at this moment, dreaming that at least others would consider and appreciate the drama that i post. this envious affair should be replaced with optimism partnership. looking on a bigger, brighter and high-definition picture. i must say i need an outlet to divert such depression. i had have a huge line up of activities when i entered college. i dream of making an name as i start college, and i did, but it never last until i finished college. though there was regrets, i have to work on what happened and correct this mistakes.

recently my mom requested if i could cooked a special dinner for us three (mom, dad and i). she told me that dad recently bought cream dori she wanted to pair it with potato mashed. so, i decided to cook for them herb crispy cream dori paired with potato mashed with glazed onions and garlic gravy paired with buttered asparagus.
CCL (carrots, cucumber, lettuce) dressed in honey mustard, “biko” rice pudding (cooked by my tita Yeye) and “tuyo” sun-dried salted sardines are the best things to have a midst the rainy afternoon paired with a hot cup of milk tea. i was praying hard not to have stomach issues after consuming these three.
All Souls Day, All Saints Day or All Hallow’s Eve neither of these can describe the Filipino tradition in giving respect to our departed love ones and ancestors. if across the globe are busy in finding the best pumpkin their buddy jack’o at the same time making an effort to portray their childhood heroes or horror icons, here in the Philippines we do it like a reunion. A get together of the living from the departed ones. we treated it like a birthday celebration saying “hi” and asking “how’s everything going” to the grave even though we knew there wouldn’t be any response to receive. we have adopted some western halloween practices such as: trick or treat or halloween costume balls. name it and we have it here, but one thing differ us from other culture, is how we pay respect and celebrate the dead especially our love ones. This is how we celebrate it, normally for three to five days. usually it starts from 29th of October and ends around 2nd of November. a simple prayer with a plain feast paired with candle and flower offering signifies the distinct family values of the Filipinos. not to mention we also offer food in the graves which we called “atang”. this practice dates back from our ancestors asking our departed love ones to join the living in a small feast, that also asked them to protect and guide the families they left on earth. this special day reunites different individuals. from elder siblings to their younger brother, son to his parents, lover to her better half, mother to her beloved child, student to his icon mentor and from a past heritage to its future heir culture. one thing that binds each Filipino, Family that keeps each other living forever.
